The transformation of Cedar Lawn Farm grew from a deep dedication to family and community. The farmhouse itself has a unique history—it was originally purchased from a Sears catalog and shipped by railcar, arriving in neatly packed crates containing everything from nails to the kitchen sink. Once assembled, it became the heart of a working farm that sustained a growing family for generations. That cherished foundation eventually inspired the creation of the beautiful Kansas barn wedding venue you see today.

In September 2022, we began an ambitious renovation of the historic barn. A small but determined crew poured their hearts—and plenty of sweat—into every detail. Each weathered plank was carefully removed and replaced with one of the same style and character. Locally quarried limestone, handcrafted furnishings, and décor sourced from nearby artisans preserved the barn’s authentic charm while elevating its elegance.

After fifteen months of tireless work, the vision became reality. In early 2024, we were proud to welcome our very first wedding reservation.

Today, Cedar Lawn Farm stands as a testament to our history and values. Original planks, a soaring vaulted ceiling, and wrought-iron chandeliers create a rustic yet elegant event space perfect for both ceremonies and receptions. Grand double barn doors, framed in natural limestone, open onto a warm, inviting social area. Outdoors, the pasture features a picturesque rock patio and walkway—an unforgettable entrance for any Midwest wedding. Whether you envision an intimate indoor gathering or a breathtaking outdoor celebration, our barn ceremony and reception space offers a timeless backdrop for your love story.
